Larry Dupree, PhD 1981, PhD, Clinical Psychology, Memphis State University 1974, MS, Psychology, Memphis State University 1969, MA, Gerontology, University of South Florida Larry Dupree is Associate Chair of the Department of Aging and Mental Health (AMH) at the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute (FMHI). He previously served as AMH Chair (1984-1989, 1998-2006), Associate Chair (1983-1984), and director/founder of several clinical programs at FMHI: the Gerontology Alcohol Project, the Community Aging Program, Substance Abuse Program for the Elderly, and the Mature Adult Counseling Center. In addition, he helped to develop and co-direct other projects at the university such as the Geriatric Education Center, and the graduate mental health counseling track in the USF Dept. of Gerontology. Dr. Dupree received his doctorate in clinical psychology from Memphis State University, and previously, a masters in Gerontology from USF. Dr. Dupree's current research focuses on substance abuse and older adults, neuropsychological assessment of individuals with Alzheimer's Disease or related disorders, and assessment of mental health and substance abuse problems among consumers of home health care services.
