2002, PhD, Clinical Psychology, University of Kansas Amber Gum is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Aging and Mental Health Disparities. Her research focuses on older adults' utilization of behavioral health services and integration of brief psychosocial interventions for older adults into community settings. She currently has a grant from NIMH to study longitudinal service utilization patterns of older adults with depressive symptoms. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology (health specialty) from the University of Kansas in 2002. She completed an internship in clinical geropsychology at the Palo Alto VA Health Care System in 2002. Dr. Gum spent the following two years as an NIMH research postdoctoral fellow at the University of California, San Francisco, prior to joining the AMHD faculty in 2004.
